Lou Serafini graduated Rutgers Newark College of Arts with a B.A. degree with Honors in
Economics. He graduated Rutgers Graduate School of Management with an M.B.A. and, in
1988, graduated Seton Hall Law School with a Juris Doctor degree.
Lou began his legal career as Law Secretary to the Hon. James T. O’Halleran. During his
clerkship he was admitted to both the New Jersey and New York Bars. After
successfully completing his clerkship he opened the Law Office of Louis J. Serafini. In January
of 1990 he co-founded the law firm of Serafini and Serafini, P.C. with his brother Joseph. They
have extensive civil trial experience and have obtained tens of millions of dollars in recoveries.
Lou has been certified by the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey as Civil Trial Attorney.
He is a member of the American Bar Association; Past President of the Passaic County Bar
Association; member of the New Jersey State Bar Association; member of the New Jersey
Association of Justice, as well as a member of the Board of Governors.
Lou has served the Cedar Grove UNICO chapter as Member, Treasurer, Vice President and
President and Past District 4 Governor.
